antique-19th-century-louis-xv-style-gilt-17529
Antique 19th Century Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze Table Mirror, Two Winged Putti on Rocaille Frame, Heart-Shaped Aged Glass

Two little winged cherubs play on this gilded dressing table mirror. One perches at the top, reaching up to catch a spray of curling acanthus leaves, while the other sits at the base among the scrolls, looking out with a sweet, chubby-cheeked smile. The frame curves around a softly heart-shaped glass, worked with C-scrolls, lattice panels and leafy sprays in true Rococo style. It ends below in two curling feet, and a fold-out strut on the back lets it stand at an angle on a dressing table. The gilding is bright and warm. The original glass carries a gentle cloudiness and small age spots that soften every reflection. It’s a romantic piece for a vanity, a boudoir or a mantel.

Condition: Good Antique Condition.

Dimensions & Materials

Height: 15.7 in (40 cm)
Width: 9.1 in (23 cm)
Depth with stand open: 12.8 in (32.5 cm)
Material: Gilt bronze, mirror glass
Includes: One table mirror with fold-out stand

Historical Period: Louis XV revival (Rococo); circa late 19th century.

Shipping & Duties: Every piece is hand-wrapped, securely packed and fully insured for its journey to you, wherever you are in the world.
