vintage-french-bouillotte-table-lamp-90368
Vintage French Bouillotte Table Lamp, Two-Light Brass Desk Lamp with Green Tole Shade, Adjustable Height, Louis XVI Style

Under a deep green tole shade, two scrolled brass arms hold a pair of candle lights either side of a slim baluster column. The design comes from the “bouillotte” card tables of 18th-century France, where lamps like this lit the players’ hands. A small key on the central rod lets you slide the shade up or down to soften the glare or open up the light. The base is round with a dished, petal-edged foot, and the brass has darkened to a warm, mellow tone. It’s a natural fit for a writing desk, a library table or a quiet reading corner.

Condition: Good Vintage Condition.

Dimensions & Materials

Material: Brass, painted tole (sheet metal) shade
Includes: One two-light table lamp with its tole shade

Lamp Shade Included: The original green painted tole shade with gilt rim, adjustable in height with the key on the central rod.

Historical Period: Louis XVI revival style; mid-20th century.

Electrical: Carefully prepared and professionally rewired by our workshop, fitted with a plug or adapter for your country, tested and delivered ready to enjoy.

Shipping & Duties: Every piece is hand-wrapped, securely packed and fully insured for its journey to you, wherever you are in the world.
