Converted to electricity, it now makes a slim, bright table lamp with a shade of your choice.

The lamp stands on a round stepped base with several rings of fine beading. A bell-shaped foot rises to a tapering stem, fluted at its centre and banded with more beading. At the top, a candle socket and a beaded drip pan now carry the bulb fitting. In French, the cup that holds the candle is called the "binet", and the flat ring around it is the "bobèche". On fine candlesticks the two were often made as separate pieces, so a worn or damaged part could be replaced.

The lamp is in very good antique condition, with light marks and dents from long use. It has been converted to electricity and is ready for a new desk or side table. Set it on a nightstand, a desk or a hall console.

Beaded flambeau: an antique Louis XVI style brass-tone candlestick converted to a table lamp, with beaded friezes and a fluted stem, rewired and ready to use.

DETAILS

Size: H 30 cm (11.8 in) · base diameter 13 cm (5.1 in) — about the height of a wine bottle
Material: brass-tone metal
Style-Period: Louis XVI style · 19th century
Weight: 740 g (1.6 lb)
Shipping: professionally packed, fully insured, worldwide · we handle the paperwork and pay all import duties · nothing to settle on delivery
Electrical: fully rewired in our workshop before dispatch · US, UK or EU plug fitted at no extra charge · delivered working and ready to use
Condition: very good antique condition · light marks and dents from use
Lampshade: Sold without a shade — leaving you free to choose one that suits your room
Returns: accepted within 30 days

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1063/5388/5529/files/il_fullxfull.8682268493_24cy_b8ab4710-0cc0-459a-8805-f97f13265f81.jpg?v=1791318564
