The front is set with a pierced mother-of-pearl panel and a small keyhole, and the box rests on four little feet above a band of pearl inlay. Inside, the lid and base are lined in cream silk, deeply button-tufted like a tiny armchair. It still locks with its original key, ready for rings, brooches or treasured letters on a dressing table.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition: Good Antique Condition. There is a tiny loss of mother-of-pearl at one corner, light wear and small losses to the painted violets on the lid, and marks and stains to the silk lining in the base, as pictured.
