large-vintage-cobalt-blue-porcelain-28115
Large Vintage Cobalt Blue Porcelain Baluster Table Lamp with Etched Frosted Glass Globe, Bronze Mounts, Converted Oil Lamp

At nearly 30 inches tall, this lamp makes a true statement. Its tall baluster body is glazed in a deep, glossy cobalt blue that reflects the room like lacquer, rising in a graceful pear shape to a second rounded reservoir above, joined by cast bronze collars of leaves and scrolls. It’s shaped in the manner of the grand oil lamps of the Napoleon III era and stands on a bronze foot with shell and scroll feet. A pierced brass burner collar holds a frosted glass globe etched with clear floral sprays, which glows softly when lit. It’s a striking piece for a sideboard, a console or a library table.

Condition: Good Vintage Condition, with a glossy glaze and natural patina to the bronze mounts consistent with age, as pictured.

Dimensions & Materials

Height: 29.1 in (74 cm)
Material: Glazed porcelain, bronze mounts, brass burner collar, etched frosted glass globe
Includes: One table lamp with etched glass globe

Lamp Shade Included: Frosted glass globe with etched floral decoration.

Historical Period: Napoleon III style oil lamp, converted to electricity; circa late 19th to early 20th century.

Electrical: Carefully prepared and professionally rewired by our workshop, fitted with a plug or adapter for your country, tested and delivered ready to enjoy.

Shipping & Duties: Every piece is hand-wrapped, securely packed and fully insured for its journey to you, wherever you are in the world.
