pair-of-vintage-art-deco-torch-wall-40458
Pair of Vintage Art Deco Torch Wall Sconces, Hammered Copper with Molded Glass Flame Shades on Wood Backplates, Large 24 Inch

Lit up, each of these sconces becomes a burning torch. A frosted glass flame rises from a copper cup at the top of a long, tapering shaft. The shafts are hand-hammered all over, so the copper catches the light in a scatter of small facets. Each torch is held to a shaped wooden backplate by a copper strap that curls into a stylised fleur shape. At over two feet tall, the pair makes a real statement, with a touch of castle and medieval revival in their Art Deco lines. They suit a hallway, a staircase, a stone fireplace wall or either side of a front door indoors.

Condition: Good Vintage Condition

Dimensions & Materials

Height: 24.4 in (62 cm)
Width at the cups: 4.3 in (11 cm)
Bulb base: E26 (US standard)
Material: Hammered copper, wood backplates, molded glass
Includes: A pair of wall sconces with two glass flame shades

Lamp Shade Included: Two molded frosted glass flame shades, clip-fitted into the copper cups.

Historical Period: Art Deco; circa 1930s.

Electrical: Carefully prepared and professionally rewired by our workshop before dispatch; tested and delivered ready to install.

Shipping & Duties: Every piece is hand-wrapped, securely packed and fully insured for its journey to you, wherever you are in the world.
