pair-of-vintage-directoire-style-bronze-96465
Pair of Vintage Directoire Style Bronze Wall Sconces, Crossed Arrows and Star Medallion, Two-Arm Candle Lights, Empire Decor

Two arrows cross at the heart of each sconce, their feathered fletchings rising above and sharp points reaching below, a motif taken from the military glamour of the Directoire and Empire years. Where they meet, a dark patinated medallion carries a single gilt star, framed in a ring of leaves. From either side a scrolled arm curves out to a black-patinated cup holding a candle-style light. The contrast of gold bronze and deep green-black gives the pair a crisp, graphic look. Hang them either side of a mirror, a doorway or a bookcase for a strong neoclassical accent.

Condition: Good Vintage Condition

Dimensions & Materials

Bulb base: E12 (US candelabra)
Material: Bronze with gilt and dark patinated finish
Includes: A pair of two-arm wall sconces

Lampshade: Sold without shades, leaving you free to choose ones that suit your room.

Historical Period: Directoire / Louis XVI revival style; mid-20th century.

Electrical: Carefully prepared and professionally rewired by our workshop before dispatch; tested and delivered ready to install.

Shipping & Duties: Every piece is hand-wrapped, securely packed and fully insured for its journey to you, wherever you are in the world.
