Many families chose modern comfort dressed in traditional style, and electric candelabra in the manner of the old royal periods became a favourite for living rooms and dining rooms.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis pair of candelabra table lamps is attributed to the 1960s–70s and is in the Régence style. Régence refers to the short period between the reigns of Louis XIV and Louis XV, when designers favoured faceted shapes and restrained scrolls before the full curves of the Rococo arrived. Each lamp stands on a hexagonal stepped base and rises through a faceted, urn-shaped stem to a small finial. From the top, two S-shaped arms decorated with bands of tiny leaves curve out to each side, and a third light rises at the centre, so each lamp has three candle-style lights with card sleeves.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe lamps are in good condition, with a warm gilt finish. Like every lamp we sell, they are checked in our workshop before they are sent, so they arrive ready to use.
