pair-of-vintage-louis-xv-style-brass-or-35162
Pair of Vintage Louis XV Style Brass or Bronze Wall Sconces, Two-Arm Rocaille Acanthus Design with Fluted Cup Bobeches, Candle Lights

A soft, satin gold finish sets this pair apart: instead of a high shine, the metal has a gentle, matte glow that lets the shadows in the acanthus carving do the work. Each backplate rises as a single twisting plume of leaves, curling at the tip and trailing to a scroll below. Two arms branch out on either side, sprouting small leaves along their length, then turn upward into fluted cups ringed by ruffled, petal-edged drip pans that hold ivory candle sleeves. Compact at under 9 inches tall, they suit a bedroom, a powder room or a narrow hallway, framing a small mirror or a bed.

Condition: Good Vintage Condition, with light wear to the finish consistent with age, as pictured.

Dimensions & Materials (each sconce)

Height: 8.7 in (22 cm)
Width: 6.9 in (17.5 cm)
Material: Brass or bronze
Includes: Two double-arm wall sconces with four candle sleeves

Lampshade: Sold without shades, leaving you free to choose ones that suit your room.

Historical Period: Louis XV revival style; circa mid-20th century.

Electrical: Carefully prepared and professionally rewired by our workshop before dispatch; tested and delivered ready to install.

Shipping & Duties: Every piece is hand-wrapped, securely packed and fully insured for its journey to you, wherever you are in the world.
