pair-of-vintage-louis-xv-style-bronze-12583
Pair of Vintage Louis XV Style Bronze Wall Sconces, Two-Arm Rococo Candle Lights with Acanthus Scroll Backplates, Aged Gold Finish

Scrolls curl in every direction on these Rococo sconces. The tall backplate is a flowing cascade of acanthus leaves and C-scrolls, and from its centre two arms twist out and up, each ending in a leaf-wrapped cup. Ivory-tone candle sleeves with painted drips sit in the cups, giving the look of real candles. The bronze has a darkened, aged gold finish that brings out the depth of the casting. Hang the pair either side of a mirror, a bed or a fireplace for a soft, candlelit glow in the Louis XV manner.

Condition: Good Vintage Condition, with patina to the bronze and age-toned candle sleeves, as pictured.

Dimensions & Materials

Height: approx. 10.2 in (26 cm)
Material: Bronze with aged gold finish
Includes: A pair of two-arm wall sconces

Lampshade: Sold without shades, leaving you free to choose ones that suit your room.

Historical Period: Louis XV revival (Rococo) style; mid-20th century.

Electrical: Carefully prepared and professionally rewired by our workshop before dispatch; tested and delivered ready to install.

Shipping & Duties: Every piece is hand-wrapped, securely packed and fully insured for its journey to you, wherever you are in the world.
