pair-of-vintage-louis-xvi-style-bronze-31060
Pair of Vintage Louis XVI Style Bronze Two-Arm Wall Sconces, Fluted Urn with Laurel Wreath Ring Handles, Acanthus Scroll Arms

A classical urn forms the heart of each sconce, deeply fluted and crowned with a flame finial. On each side, a small laurel wreath hangs from the urn like a ring handle. Below the urn, a second fluted cup with leafy blocks at its corners sends out two heavy arms. They sweep out in broad, squared S-curves, ridged with acanthus along their backs, and rise to plain, wide drip pans and fluted cups holding ivory candle sleeves. A pointed leafy drop finishes the base. The bronze has a warm, slightly worn golden patina that feels comfortably lived-in. At over 2.5 pounds each, they’re solid sconces for a dining room, a hallway or either side of a mirror.

Condition: Good Vintage Condition.

Dimensions & Materials (each sconce)

Height: 9.8 in (25 cm)
Width: 8.3 in (21 cm)
Weight: 2.6 lb (1.2 kg)
Material: Bronze
Bulb base: 2 x E12 candelabra per sconce
Includes: Two double-arm wall sconces with four candle sleeves

Lampshade: Sold without shades, leaving you free to choose ones that suit your room.

Historical Period: Louis XVI revival style; circa mid-20th century.

Electrical: Carefully prepared and professionally rewired by our workshop before dispatch; tested and delivered ready to install.

Shipping & Duties: Every piece is hand-wrapped, securely packed and fully insured for its journey to you, wherever you are in the world.
