set-of-four-vintage-louis-xv-style-bronze-75010
Set of Four Vintage Louis XV Style Bronze Wall Sconces, Two-Arm Rocaille Acanthus Design with Leaf Bobeches, Two Pairs

Four matching sconces, made up of two mirrored pairs, are enough to light a whole room in the French manner: a pair on either side of a mirror and a pair framing a fireplace, or all four spaced evenly down a long gallery. Each backplate rises in a tall, flickering plume of rocaille scrolls and acanthus. Two arms twist out from it in deep C-curves, then turn upward into crisp, spiky leaf bobeches and fluted cups holding candle sleeves. The bronze has a soft, pale gold finish with a gentle silvery sheen on the high points, light and elegant on a painted or papered wall.

Condition: Good Vintage Condition, with light wear to the finish consistent with age, as pictured.

Dimensions & Materials (each sconce)

Material: Bronze
Includes: Four double-arm wall sconces (two pairs) with eight candle sleeves

Lampshade: Sold without shades, leaving you free to choose ones that suit your room.

Historical Period: Louis XV revival style; circa mid-20th century.

Electrical: Carefully prepared and professionally rewired by our workshop before dispatch; tested and delivered ready to install.

Shipping & Duties: Every piece is hand-wrapped, securely packed and fully insured for its journey to you, wherever you are in the world.
