vintage-chrome-and-black-wall-sconce-with-09770
Vintage Chrome and Black Wall Sconce with Pyramid Glass Shade and Rosette Push Switch

Not every wall light needs to be grand. In the 1950s and 1960s, European makers produced many small, cheerful sconces for bedsides, desks and narrow hallways. They paired neat metal fittings with patterned glass shades, so even a tiny light could sparkle on the wall.

This small wall sconce is attributed to the 1950s–60s. A black rectangular wall plate holds a shiny metal cup, with a decorative coil below it. On top sits a round glass shade covered in rows of small pyramid-shaped studs. The shade is made in two bands: the lower part is frosted white and the top rim is clear. The frosted band softens the light around the bulb, while the clear rim lets a little sparkle escape upward. The lamp has its own cord, so it can simply be plugged in.

The sconce is in very good condition. Like every lamp we sell, it is checked in our workshop before it is sent, so it arrives ready to use. It is just the right size for a bedside reading light, or a small accent in a hallway or study.

In short, this is a vintage small wall sconce with a studded clear and frosted glass shade on a black wall plate, attributed to the 1950s–60s.
