vintage-empire-style-bronze-column-table-91310
Vintage Empire Style Bronze Column Table Lamp, Fluted Candlestick Base with Palmette Band, Oval Ivory Shade with Apricot Trim

A slender fluted column, like a miniature Greek temple pillar, forms the stem of this lamp, wrapped at the base in a band of palmettes and leaves and crowned with a capital of acanthus. It rises from a round foot finely engine-turned in radiating lines and diamond texture, with a ring of leaves around the stem. The design comes from the classic French candlestick, converted to electric light. The bronze has a soft, aged gold sheen. It comes with an oval shade in ivory silk or fine linen, edged with apricot trim, which gives a warm, gentle light. It’s well suited to a bedside, a desk or a library table.

Condition: Very Good Vintage Condition. The bronze has a natural patina. The shade is old but clean.

Dimensions & Materials

Base height: 11.8 in (30 cm); 13 in (33 cm) with socket
Base diameter: 5.1 in (13 cm)
Shade: 12.8 x 8.9 in (32.5 x 22.5 cm), 7.7 in (19.5 cm) high
Weight: 2.4 lb (1.1 kg)
Material: Bronze; ivory silk or linen shade with apricot trim
Bulb base: E26 standard
Includes: One table lamp with oval fabric shade

Lamp Shade Included: Oval ivory silk or fine linen shade with apricot trim.

Historical Period: Empire revival style; circa early to mid-20th century.

Electrical: Carefully prepared and professionally rewired by our workshop, fitted with a plug or adapter for your country, tested and delivered ready to enjoy.

Shipping & Duties: Every piece is hand-wrapped, securely packed and fully insured for its journey to you, wherever you are in the world.
