The drip pans are cast with a fan of radiating leaves called a palmette. It's a motif borrowed from ancient Greek ornament and based on the spreading leaves of the palm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe sconce is in good vintage condition. The silver-tone finish is worn, and the warm base metal shows through, most of all on the torch. The candle sleeves show light marks. The old wiring reaches us as found. With care, it's ready for many more years of use.
