That lets the shade come off for cleaning or bulb changes without any tools.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe sconces are in good vintage condition. One shade has a small chip at the neck where it meets the holder, and the old wiring reaches us as found. They have stayed together as a pair and are ready for a new wall.
