Each one is fixed to the wall by a round rosette, through which passes a horizontal arrow, complete with a pointed tip and feathered flights. The arrow was a favourite Louis XVI ornament, a nod to Cupid and a symbol of love. Beneath the rosette, a small pine cone hangs as a finishing touch. From it, a swan-neck arm, decorated with leaf detail, curves out and down to hold a frosted, ribbed glass tulip shade.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe sconces reach us in very good condition, with a warm gilt-tone patina on the brass, and the glass tulips are free of cracks and chips.
