Vintage Patinated Metal Borzoi Dog SculptureStanding Russian Wolfhound with Feathered Coat on Wooden Plinth, Mantel Decor

Standing tall and still with his head held high and mouth slightly open, this borzoi gazes off into the distance with the calm dignity of his breed. The sculptor captured the long, narrow muzzle, the folded ears, the deep chest and the elegant tucked-up waist, with silky locks of fur flowing down the neck, chest and tail. A warm bronze patina, worn back in places to lighter metal, gives him a soft, aged glow. He stands on a rectangular wooden plinth in a rich mahogany tone. At almost 8 inches tall, he’s a graceful piece for a mantel, a desk or a bookshelf, and a lovely gift for anyone who shares their home with a sighthound.
