01 · An honest account of every piece
Antiques carry the marks of their history. Patina and wear are part of that history; damage, repairs and restoration deserve their own explanation. We describe known condition details alongside photographs so you can understand the piece before choosing it.
Read the photographs and condition notes together. If a detail matters to you, ask us for a closer photograph, a video or an exact measurement.
A decorative style is not a guarantee of a particular maker or date. The individual listing states the attribution and period supported by the available information.

Reading the condition report
Exceptional for its age, with no notable wear or restoration reported.
Light wear consistent with age and use.
Visible age, patina, small marks or minor losses, described with the piece.
Work has been carried out. Known repairs, replacements, refinishing or rewiring are stated in the listing.
02 · Carefully packed. Fully insured.
Worldwide delivery is included. Each piece is packed with materials suited to its shape, weight and delicate details, then sent with tracking and insurance.
Pieces marked Ready to ship are dispatched within 3 days. Other pieces are prepared for you in 1–2 weeks, and most ship within a week. Transit time is additional and depends on your destination. Tracking is emailed when your order leaves us.
If you need a piece by a particular date, or your destination is unavailable at checkout, please contact us before ordering.
If something arrives damaged, keep the packaging and contact us promptly with photographs of the parcel and the piece. We will help with the next steps.
03 · US import duties, taken care of
For deliveries to the United States, Maison Jaspers handles and covers import duties.
For other destinations, local import taxes and duties may apply and are payable by the recipient. If you would like to clarify the arrangements for your destination, contact us before placing your order.
04 · The right details for your lighting
Vintage lighting deserves attention to both appearance and practical use. Check the individual listing for information about the fitting, wiring, plug and any known electrical work.
For lamps with a plug, a suitable destination plug can be fitted at no extra charge. A plug change does not change voltage compatibility. Please tell us where the lamp will be used so we can clarify the appropriate arrangement before dispatch.
Wall and ceiling lights may require installation. If compatibility or installation details are not stated in the listing, ask us before ordering.
