Known materials, period, origin and previous work are included. When something is uncertain, it is described as uncertain.

Patina belongs to an antique. Structural damage, later repairs and restoration are different — and each is described separately.
Natural age
Surface wear, softened edges, oxidation and small marks acquired through ordinary use. These are part of the object’s history.
Previous restoration
Any known repair, replacement, refinishing or rewiring is stated clearly and photographed where it can be seen.
Structural condition
Cracks, movement, losses or weaknesses that may affect use are never treated as simple patina. They are named directly.
