THE HOUSE
I find, examine and document each piece myself, then send it anywhere in the world — insured, duties settled, ready to use on arrival.

WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM
Maison Jaspers is run from Groningen, in the Netherlands, by Kiet Jaspers. It began in 2018 with a passion for finding exceptional objects with a sense of history.
Today the collection holds several hundred pieces at any one time, and it changes constantly. Objects arrive from dealers, private collections and estates across France, Italy, Belgium and beyond — the countries where the decorators of the last century did their best work.
There is no warehouse of identical stock behind this. Each piece is chosen one at a time, and when it is gone, it is gone.
HOW A PIECE REACHES YOU
Sourced across Europe from dealers, private collections and estates. Chosen for quality and character, never bought in bulk.
Checked in hand for condition, construction and age. Lighting is tested and rewired where needed.
Photographed in detail, including the flaws, and described with its origin, period, materials and dimensions.
Packed for its own weight and fragility, fully insured, tracked, and cleared through customs on your behalf.
THE MAISON JASPERS STANDARD
Shipping is complimentary on every piece, fully tracked and insured for its full value from the moment it leaves us until it reaches your door.
For clients in the United States we settle import duties ourselves. Nothing is owed on arrival and no courier will ask you for a payment.
Lighting is rewired and fitted for your region where required, so a French lamp from 1965 works safely on the wall of an American home.
Every piece is packed individually — marble, glass and bronze each need something different. No object leaves in a box that was not built around it.
THE CONDITION STANDARD
Every piece is described with the same four grades, and the photographs include the wear rather than avoiding it. An antique with an honest scratch is worth more to you than a perfect description you cannot verify.
Exceptional for its age. No notable wear, no restoration, nothing to report.
Light wear consistent with age and use. Nothing structural, nothing distracting.
Visible age — patina, small marks or minor losses — all named and photographed.
Work has been carried out. What was done, and by whom, is stated on the piece.

SPEAK TO US
More photographs, a video, exact measurements or a second opinion on condition. Ask about any piece and you will normally hear back the same working day.
Tell me what you are after — a maker, a period, a pair of a certain size — and I will look for it on my next buying trip and let you know before it is listed.
