1970s Style Table Lamp, Brushed Silver-Tone Metal Ball and Column Base, Tall Textured Drum Shade with Metallic Trim

Brushed metal and a tall glowing drum: this lamp has the clean confidence of 1970s interiors. Switched on, the textured shade turns a warm gold and the metal base gives off a soft satin gleam. It is a lamp that brings a whole room's mood up a notch.

The base is brushed silver-tone metal. A smooth ball sits on top of a straight cylindrical column, separated by polished rings, on a stepped round foot. Above it rises a tall drum shade in a textured, slubbed cream fabric, edged top and bottom with a metallic silver band. A brushed finish is made by drawing fine abrasives across the metal in one direction, leaving tiny parallel lines that soften reflections into a satin sheen.

The lamp is in good vintage condition. Before it leaves, our workshop fully rewires it and re-secures the shade. It comes with its tall drum shade. On a sideboard, a console or a large side table, it gives a warm, generous light and a strong vertical line.
