Contemporary Abstract Female Figure SculptureGold-Tone Metal with Raised Arms, Modernist Style on Round Base, 24 cm

The modernist sculptors of the last century taught us to see the human figure as pure movement, and that lesson has never stopped being explored. Today's sculptors still return to the female form for the same reason they always have: no other subject lets a single line say so much about balance, energy and grace.

This contemporary statuette takes up that conversation with confidence. The figure rises in a long, flowing curve, both arms lifted and bent into open loops around a small rounded head. Her body turns in a gentle S-shape as it rises from the base, a classical pose known as contrapposto, in which the weight shifts onto one side so that a standing figure seems to be caught in motion. Polished to a bright gold tone, the surface throws light along every turn of the form, and the figure is set on a dark round base that grounds its upward sweep.

The statuette reaches us in good overall condition, its polished surface showing small scattered marks across the torso. It is a piece made to be lived with and looked at closely, and it will reward a spot where light can move across it through the day. It sits well on a desk, a bookshelf or a bedside table, where its compact height suits a closer view.

In short, this is a contemporary abstract female figure in polished gold-tone metal, in the modernist style, on a dark round base, 24 cm tall. It is exactly as pictured.
