Copper-Tone Metal Cachepot with Brass-Tone Rope Bow and Tassels, Hammered Texture, Flared Rim Planter
A twisted rope tied in a bow, its tassels hanging loose, turns a simple planter into something that looks dressed for company. The warm metal glows softly against green leaves. It is a cheerful, practical piece for a sunny room.
The cachepot has a tapering body with a flared rim, made of copper-tone metal with a textured surface of small punched marks. Around the upper body runs an applied twisted rope in a brass tone, tied at the front in a bow with two hanging tassels. The small dashes across the surface are hammer or punch marks. They add texture, and they help hide fingerprints and small knocks.
The cachepot is in very good vintage condition. Its warm tone is left just as it has mellowed. On a windowsill, a kitchen counter or a side table, it holds a potted fern, herbs or an orchid.
In brief: a copper-tone metal cachepot with a punched texture, a flared rim and a brass-tone rope bow with tassels.
