Mid-Century Chrome Wall Sconces, Pair, Frosted and Clear Fluted Glass Shades, Rectangular Arms
A clean chrome-tone bracket and a glass shade that's clear at the bottom and softly frosted at the top: this pair keeps things simple and lets the light do the work. They suit a bathroom, a hallway or a minimalist bedroom.
Each sconce has a canted chrome-tone backplate and a straight, square-section arm. The arm holds a one-piece glass shade: a thick clear lower cup with deep vertical fluting and a wavy rim, rising into a tapered upper section with a frosted satin finish. The two zones each have a job. The frosted top softens the bulb's glare, and the clear fluted base breaks the light into rippling patterns on the wall around it.
The pair is in good vintage condition. The chrome-tone plating has a few small chips, and the glass shades are intact as photographed. The old wiring reaches us as found, and both sconces will be fully rewired in our workshop, ready to light a room for many years. Hang them either side of a bathroom mirror, a bed or a doorway.
Half-frosted pair: two vintage mid-century chrome-tone wall sconces with square arms and glass shades, clear and fluted below and frosted above, rewired in our workshop and ready to install.
