Where a three-arm sconce announces itself, this smaller format was designed to sit quietly in a hallway or by a bed, giving a single soft pool of light without demanding much wall space or visual attention.

This pair is built around a gilt metal scrolled arm, each rising in a graceful curve from a small circular backplate to support a single shade above. The shades are worked in frosted ribbed glass, tapering from a narrow neck to a fuller, gently fluted body, finished at the rim with a scalloped gilt metal collar that echoes the arm's own finish. Note how the scroll of each arm curves back on itself before rising to the shade, a compact, self-contained silhouette that keeps the whole fitting close to the wall rather than projecting outward the way a candle-arm sconce typically does.

The pair reaches us in very good vintage condition. As lighting pieces, both sconces will still pass through our own workshop for a full rewire and safety check before dispatch, delivered fully ready to use. Hung as a pair either side of a mirror or bed, their compact scale suits a spot where a larger sconce would feel heavy-handed.
