Pair of Mid-Century Style Wall Sconces, Frosted White Glass Cone Shades, Brass-Tone Arms and Black Wall Plates

Two slim white cones on short brass-tone arms, with a small pointed tip that catches the eye. The lines are clean and simple, and each part has a clear job.

Each sconce has a black rectangular wall plate and a short brass-tone arm. At the end of the arm, a tall frosted white glass cone sits in a black cup, with a small pointed brass-tone finial below. The frosted glass spreads the light evenly in every direction, so the bulb doesn't glare and the whole cone glows softly. Shapes like this, with pointed tips and contrasting black and brass, were popular in modernist design in the 1950s.

The sconces are in very good vintage condition, and we rewire them before they leave us. They were looked after well by the last owner, and we hope they stay in good hands. Hang one each side of a bed, a mirror or a doorway.

The pair: two wall sconces in brass-tone metal and black-painted metal, with frosted white glass cone shades.
