Pair of Tulip Wall Sconces, Satin White Glass Shades, Gold-Tone Stems and Triangular Plates, Clear Acrylic Accents, 1950s–60s Style

Like two tulips about to open, these sconces lean gently away from each other on long golden stems. Hung as a pair, they frame a wall with soft light and an easy, natural line. They bring the lightness of mid-century design to any room.

Each sconce has a rounded triangular gold-tone wall plate, from which a long, slender gold-tone stem curves upward. At its tip, a polished gold-tone cup holds a tulip-shaped shade of satin white glass. A second, fine stem of clear acrylic branches off to the side like a leaf. Satin glass is given a fine matt surface, so the light comes through as a soft, even glow rather than a bright point.

The pair is in good vintage condition, with the glass in good order, and our workshop fully rewires both before they leave. They are sold as a pair, just as they were designed to hang. Placed on either side of a bed, a mirror or a doorway, they give a gentle, flattering light.

The pair consists of: two gold-tone metal wall plates and stems, two satin white glass tulip shades, and two clear acrylic accent stems.
