Pair of Vintage Rockabilly Wall SconcesBlack and White Plastic Petal Shades, Brass-Tone Bases and Pointed Finials

A white tulip opening from a brass cone, finished with a sharp black point below: this pair has the fun, upbeat look of 1950s France.

Each sconce has a round, stepped brass-toned wall plate and a short arm that runs into an upright brass-toned cone. The cone is pierced with a ring of small holes near the top and ends below in a pointed black tip. Rising from the cone is a frosted white shade shaped like an opening tulip, with three soft petals. The ring of holes is more than decoration. It helps heat from the bulb escape, keeping the shade cooler.

The sconces are in very good vintage condition, and the old wiring reaches us as found. They have been kept together as a pair since the 1950s and are ready for a new wall. Hang them in a bedroom, a hallway or a retro kitchen.

Tulip-torch pair: two 1950s French brass-tone sconces with white tulip shades and black tips, rewired and sold as a pair.
