Set of Five Patinated Brass Wall Sconces, Urn-Form Arm, 1950s

A single-arm sconce built around an urn-form finial gave mid-century lighting designers a compact, self-contained silhouette, the turned brass shapes doing all the decorative work without need for scrollwork or applied ornament elsewhere on the piece. Sold in larger matched sets like this one, sconces of this kind were typically used to run a consistent line of light along a hallway or around a larger room.

This set of five is worked in patinated brass, each sconce built as a turned urn-form finial mounted on a circular backplate, with a ribbed collar and small turned socket detail. Note how each piece follows the same turned profile with only minor natural variation between them, the kind of consistency expected from a matched production run rather than assembled individually. The sconces are sold without shades.

The set reaches us with good backplates overall. As lighting pieces, all five sconces will be fully rewired through our workshop, delivered working and ready to use, fitted with a B22 socket as supplied. Run along a hallway or spaced across a larger wall, the set gives a consistent line of light without shades to interrupt the brass form.

Worked in patinated brass, each sconce stands 19 cm high, projects 15 cm from the wall, with a 9 cm backplate. Every piece we send is professionally packed by hand, fully insured, and shipped worldwide with all import duties and tariffs already paid on our side — there is nothing further for you to settle when it arrives.
