She sits on the ground with her legs stretched out to one side, one arm lifting the hem of her skirt in a graceful arc and the other resting at her waist, smiling softly with her head tilted. Her long dark hair falls in waves to her shoulders, and her face and hands are painted in pale ivory with rosy lips, giving her a lifelike charm. She wears a dark dress with a neat white collar and full sleeves, and her wide skirt is painted with sprays of golden flowers that shimmer against the black. Small pointed shoes peep out at the hem. She rests on a polished wooden base. It’s a delightful Art Deco piece for a mantel, a dressing table or a bookshelf.
