Vintage Art Deco Night Light, Frosted Pressed Glass Globe with Floral Relief on Stepped Chrome-Tone Base
A frosted glass globe covered in flowers and fan shapes rests on a stepped metal base. When it's lit, the pattern glows softly and spreads a gentle light around a small corner.
The night light has a round globe of frosted pressed glass, moulded in relief with stylised flowers, fan shapes and arched panels. Three small thumbscrews hold the globe on a stepped round base in chrome-tone metal. A braided fabric cord runs from the side. Pressed glass is made by pressing hot glass into a patterned mould, so every globe comes out with the same deep relief. Frosting the surface then softens the light and makes the pattern stand out.
The night light is in very good vintage condition. It will be fully rewired in our workshop before it leaves. It has been well cared for, and we hope it stays that way. It suits a bedside table, a hallway shelf, a child's room or a reading nook.
Recap: an Art Deco night light with a frosted pressed glass globe on a stepped chrome-tone base, with a braided cord.
