Vintage Brass Table Lamps with Black Lacquered Columns, Candlestick-Form Design

Slender candlestick-form table lamps, built around a tall central column, borrow their silhouette directly from candlestick design. Pairing a dark lacquered shaft with brighter metal fittings top and bottom is a contrast device used across decades of lamp-making — light catches the metal at the socket and base while the eye reads the column as a clean vertical line in between.

Each lamp here follows that structure: a brass socket cup and turned brass collar at the top, a matte black lacquered central shaft, and a brass knopped stem over a weighted, domed brass foot. The contrast of a dark shaft between bright metal fittings is a visual trick as much as a decorative one — it breaks up what would otherwise be a single long reflective surface, keeping a tall, slender lamp from reading as top-heavy or overly busy.

Condition is good, consistent with vintage use, and the wiring has been checked. Both lamps have clearly been well kept, and now move forward to a new setting rather than a workshop. Suited to a dresser, nightstand, or windowsill, wherever a slim silhouette is wanted.
