Vintage Burl Wood Marquetry Box, Domed Geometric Inlaid Lid, Miniature Jewellery Keepsake Box, 9.4 cm

A small vintage wooden keepsake box with a domed lid, figured burl panels and a geometric pattern of dark strips and light wood diamonds. The warm brown finish, compact proportions and small brass-tone hinges make it a distinctive desk or dressing-table object.

Materials and period
Wood with burl veneer and contrasting wooden inlay. The seller describes the burl as thuya and dates the box to approximately 1930–1950; the species and precise date have not been independently verified. No maker attribution.

Condition
Visible age-related wear, small chips, scratches, fine splits and worn finish, including along the lid edges. Marks and dark patches are visible inside. Hinges are reported functional by the source seller. All seven views show the lid, interior and hinge details; please inspect them closely. One empty box is included.
