Vintage George Goulet Champagne Advertising BucketCoopered Wooden Staves with Copper-Tone Bands and Ring Handles

Built like a small barrel, this wooden bucket brings the cellars of Champagne to the table. A polished plaque on the front names the champagne house it was made for.

The bucket is made of wooden staves, held tight by three copper-tone metal bands, with a copper-tone ring handle on each side. A brass-tone plaque on the front is engraved "Champagne George Goulet Reims". Buckets and barrels built from staves like this are made by coopering. Narrow strips of wood are shaped and fitted side by side, then held together by metal hoops, and the tight fit keeps the bucket strong and steady.

The bucket is in good vintage condition. It has chilled many bottles in its time, and it's ready to chill more. Use it for champagne or wine on a bar cart or a dining table, or as a planter or a stand for wine bottles.

Bucket in short: a coopered wooden champagne bucket with copper-tone bands, ring handles and a George Goulet plaque.
