Vintage Hollywood Regency Style Column Table Lamp, Ivory Lacquered Finish with Gold-Tone Trim, Brown Greek Key Velvet Drum Shade

A brown velvet shade with a Greek key pattern sits on a slim ivory column, with a gold-tone ornament fixed to its ribbon band. The colours are warm and rich, and they suit an evening room.

The lamp has a square column with an ivory lacquered finish. Gold-tone metal trim edges the corners and divides it into two sections. It stands on a square stepped base. The drum shade is brown cut velvet with a raised Greek key pattern, circled by a brown ribbon band with a removable gold-tone ornament. The Greek key, also called a meander, is one of the oldest patterns in the world. It's a single unbroken line turning back on itself, used in ancient Greece to suggest flowing water and things without end.

The lamp is in very good vintage condition. It reaches us working, and it will be fully rewired in our workshop before dispatch. We've given it good care, and it's ready to pass on. It suits a bedside table, a sideboard or a reading corner.

In a line: an ivory column lamp with gold-tone trim and a square base, with a brown Greek key velvet drum shade and a removable ornament included.
