Vintage Pair of 1960s German Adjustable Black and Brass-Tone Wall Spotlights with Finned Square Heads

Point them at a painting, a reading chair or a corner that needs lifting: these two wall spotlights tilt to send light exactly where you want it.

Each spotlight has a square head built from a stack of thin black metal plates, held together by brass-toned posts with small round caps. A round opening at the front frames a frosted glass dome. The head is mounted on a small round black wall plate with brass-toned pivot joints, so it can be angled. The stacked plates work like the fins on a motorcycle engine. By adding extra surface area, they help heat from the bulb escape into the air.

The spotlights are in very good vintage condition, with their wall fixings, and the old wiring reaches us as found. They have been kept together as a pair since the 1960s and are ready for a new wall. Use them to light artwork, a bookcase or a reading corner.
