Vintage Pair of Hollywood Regency Style Column Table Lamps, Cream Glazed Ceramic with Fluted Corners and Tinted Mirror Strip Panels

Narrow strips of tinted mirror run down each side of these lamps, catching the light between cream fluted corners. The two lamps make a matching pair, ready for either side of a bed or a sofa.

Each lamp is a square column in cream glazed ceramic. Fluted pilasters run down the corners, and the column has a stepped top and base. The sides are set with panels of narrow tinted mirror strips, and a brass-tone stem rises from the top to the socket. A pilaster is a flat column attached to a surface instead of standing free. Classical architects used pilasters to frame walls and doorways, and here they frame the mirror panels.

The lamps are in very good vintage condition. Both will be fully rewired in our workshop before they leave. They've been well looked after, and they'll be ready to light another home. Place them either side of a bed, a sofa or a sideboard.

Two lamps: a matching pair of cream glazed ceramic column lamps with fluted corners and tinted mirror strip panels.
