Vintage Pressed Glass Shades on Gold-Tone Wall Sconces, Pair, Newly Mounted

Old glass shades often outlive the lamps they came from. This pair of vintage shades has been given a new life on simple gold-toned wall mounts.

Each sconce has a round, gold-toned wall plate and a curved arm that drops down to a short cap. From the cap hangs a clear glass cylinder pressed all over with a grid of small raised squares. When the bulb is on, each little square bends the light slightly, so the glare is broken up into a soft sparkle across the wall. The shades are vintage, and the mounts and wiring are new.

The glass shades are in very good vintage condition. They have been kept together as a pair, and now, on their new mounts, they are ready for many more years of use. Hang them in a bathroom, a kitchen or a hallway, or either side of a mirror.
