Vintage Small Empire Style Brass-Tone Fireside Companion Set with Laurel Wreath Handles, Stand, Brush, Poker and Tongs

A small set of fire tools hangs from a stand topped with a laurel wreath, ready beside the hearth. The polished brass tone glows warmly in the firelight.

The set has a central stand in brass-tone metal on a round domed base, topped by a laurel wreath ring, with a crossbar to hang the tools. It holds a brush with dark bristles and a bell-shaped top, a poker with a dark metal shaft, and a pair of tongs with ring handles. The brush and poker have matching laurel wreath handles. A set of fire tools on a stand is called a companion set, because the tools stand together by the fire, always within reach.

The set is in very good vintage condition. It has kept many fires tidy, and it's ready to keep yours. It's a good size for a small fireplace, a wood stove or a hearth corner.

Set summary: a brass-tone fireside companion set with a laurel wreath stand, brush, poker and tongs.
