Antique Bronze Inkwell19th Century, French Style Marble Base, Hinged Desk Accessory, Writing Collectible
Delivered free · US duties paid · Insured
Before the fountain pen made ink portable, the inkwell anchored the desk — a fixed point a writer returned to again and again, dipping a nib and setting it back down. This bronze inkwell carries that ritual with it still, its hinged lid opening the same way it did for whoever last used it to write a letter, sign a document, or begin something they never finished.

The bronze body rises from a square marble base, its lid lifting to reveal the original ink compartment inside — a small, tactile piece of everyday history rather than a purely decorative object. The bronze has developed a natural patina over more than a century, while the marble base grounds it with quiet, classic weight.
The inkwell presents in good antique condition, with visible patina and signs of age that only deepen its character and authenticity. This is a piece that wears its history openly rather than hiding it.
