A fluid, abstract hand-form figure rises in solid cast brass from a black wooden base, the curves polished to hold the light along their length rather than catch it in a single glint — note how the surface stays smooth through every turn of the form, without the tool marks or seams a lesser casting would show, the detail that separates a sculptural lamp from a merely decorative one. The original black lampshade with gold trim sits above it, restrained enough to let the sculpture below carry the piece.
