Hollywood Regency Style Cut Glass Table Lamp, Diamond-Cut Column with Brass Fittings

Cutting a repeating diamond pattern into glass is a technique built on angles doing the work light can't: each facet catches and bounces illumination differently depending on where you stand, which is exactly why cut and pressed glass became such a popular material for lamp columns starting mid-century — a plain glass tube just sits there, but a faceted one seems to move as the light hits it.
That's the effect built into this column: a tall, diamond-textured glass shaft rising from a square faceted glass block, joined top and bottom by brass fittings finished with leaf-carved detailing. The brass collar beneath the socket does real transitional work, softening the shift from cut glass to metal rather than leaving an abrupt seam. Together the glass and brass repeat the pairing found across a lot of mid-century decorative lighting — a light, reflective material doing the visual heavy lifting, grounded by a warmer metal at the joints.
The glass shows no chips along its facets, and the brass fittings retain an even tone throughout. Its height gives it enough presence to work as a primary bedside or console lamp rather than a small accent.
It arrives professionally packed and fully insured — we handle the paperwork and worldwide shipping, with your choice of plug fitted to your country at no extra charge. Returns are accepted within 30 days.
