This lamp follows that same logic without claiming to be an original Adnet piece. A fluted brass column rises from a square base finished in burgundy leather with a black edge, the two materials meeting cleanly rather than competing. The fluting on the column catches light along its length, giving the eye something to track as it moves up toward the fabric shade.
The brass carries light, even patina consistent with genuine age, and the leather base shows the expected surface wear of decades rather than recent use. Its straightforward silhouette and modest 55 cm height suit a desk or reading chair side table where the proportions won't overwhelm the surface.
