Louis XV Style Gilt Two-Arm Wall Sconce, Interlaced Scroll Arms, 1950s Vintage
A vintage two-arm wall sconce in sand-cast gilt metal, in the Louis XV Rocaille style, attributed to the 1950s. A tall cast backplate of acanthus scrolls carries two arms that cross and interlace as they curve outward, each ending in a leafy cup and a cream candle sleeve. The gilt patina is finished with a protective varnish.
It is in good vintage condition and works well, and suits an entryway, a living room or a bedroom.
