Pair of Brass and Blue-Grey Wall SconcesThree-Arm Neoclassical Style Lighting, Circa 1940s

The pale blue-grey central column set against warm brass is a color pairing that ran through much of 1940s French decorative lighting, cooler painted tones offset by the natural warmth of the metal. These sconces follow that palette closely, each one built with three scrolled brass arms fanning outward from a tall, turned central shaft finished in that same soft blue-grey with a ball finial at the top. The restrained, architectural silhouette suits a hallway, dining room, or bedroom equally well, bringing a quiet sense of symmetry to a wall.

Each sconce has three scrolled brass arms extending from a turned central column, the column finished in a painted blue-grey tone with a brass ball finial at the top and a pointed brass finial at the base. Each arm terminates in a circular drip pan and candle socket. Both sconces in the pair share the same three-arm form and coloring.
