The barley-twist column is one of the more demanding shapes a metalworker can cast, a continuous spiral that has to read cleanly from every angle without a single flat or awkward transition. These lamps carry that form confidently, each twisted brass shaft rising from a bulbous knop and splayed, ball-footed base — a silhouette borrowed from seventeenth-century turned furniture legs and reinterpreted here in solid cast brass. The result is a pair with real tactile presence, the kind of lamp that

The result is a pair with real tactile presence, the kind of lamp that rewards a hand run down the column as much as a glance across the room.
Each lamp has a continuous barley-twist brass column rising from a bulbous knopped base with four splayed, ball-tipped feet. The brass has a warm, detailed cast finish throughout, and both lamps in the pair share the same twisted form and proportions. They come fitted with pleated white fabric shades.
This is offered as a matched pair of table lamps.
