Spanish lighting design through the mid-twentieth century didn't move in a single direction — some workshops chased the chrome-and-halogen modernism the era is remembered for, while the same makers often kept a parallel line running in more traditional materials: turned wood, brass, candle-style fittings that looked backward rather than forward. This pair belongs to that second tradition, working in a form closer to a converted candlestick than anything overtly futuristic.

Each sconce tapers from a ribbed brass collar at the top down through a turned wood shaft to a sharp brass point at the base — a single continuous line broken only by the circular brass backplate where it mounts to the wall. The black candle-style socket at the top keeps the silhouette reading as a candle even now that it's wired for a bulb, a detail that ties the piece back to its likely origins as a candle sconce before electrification.

The wood and brass both show even, consistent wear across the pair, with no looseness at the joints. At 41 cm long, the pair suits flanking a mirror, a doorway, or a stretch of hallway wall where the tapered form can read clearly against a plain surface.

It arrives professionally packed and fully insured — we handle the paperwork and worldwide shipping. This listing is for the sconces only; no shades or bulbs are included. These lights are designed for hardwiring. Returns are accepted within 30 days.
