Set of Three Brass Wall SconcesGeometric Diamond Backplate, French Style, 1960s
Delivered free · US duties paid · Insured
The diamond-shaped backplate on these sconces isn't just ornament — it's a genuinely efficient way to distribute two candle arms from a single mounting point while keeping the whole silhouette narrow and vertical rather than wide and heavy-looking. French decorative lighting workshops of the mid-twentieth century leaned on exactly this kind of precise geometric brasswork, favoring sharp, faceted forms over the softer curves of earlier candle sconces.

Each of the three sconces in this set repeats the same structure: a pointed diamond backplate tapering to a finial at both top and bottom, with two curved arms branching outward to candle-style bulb cups. The polished brass surface catches light cleanly along every flat plane of the diamond, giving the geometric form real definition rather than a flat, shadowless read.
All three pieces show light patina and minor surface wear typical of genuine vintage brass rather than a fresh reproduction finish. Sold as a matched set, they suit a hallway, dining room, or living space where a repeated geometric form can register as a considered lighting scheme rather than a single accent piece.
It arrives professionally packed and fully insured — we handle the paperwork and worldwide shipping. This listing is for the sconces only; no shades or bulbs are included. Returns are accepted within 30 days.
