The mid-century French wall light kept returning to the same happy idea: light as a bouquet. Thin brass stems spring from the wall, cross and curve as if freshly gathered, and each carries a bloom of white glass with the bulb inside — so that switching on the light is, every evening, the same small event as flowers opening. Makers sold them as singles and pairs; a three-bloom spray like this one was the full bouquet.
This sconce is French, from the mid-twentieth century: three slender brass stems rising from a bracket of brass leaves, curving apart at their own heights and angles, one nodding downward, each ending in a brass calyx holding a tulip of matte white glass, open at the tip. Look at how the three blooms sit at different heights and face different ways — the asymmetry is composed, not casual, arranged so the spray reads naturally from every angle the way a real handful of stems would. The three tulips are in perfect condition; the brass structure carries traces of use — light scratches and oxidation — honestly, as the photographs show. The sconce is fully rewired through our workshop before dispatch, takes three E14 screw bulbs, and arrives prepared for wall installation, in working order.
The glass is flawless and the brass wears its years openly. Whoever lit this bouquet each evening before you kept all three blooms unbroken. It is ready for a bedroom wall, a stair landing, or the spot in a hallway that needs one graceful thing.
The sconce is brass and glass with three lights, rewired before dispatch. It arrives professionally packed and fully insured — we handle the paperwork and worldwide shipping, with all import duties paid by us, so there is nothing to settle on delivery. Returns are accepted within 30 days.
