Vintage 1970s French Table LampRed Tole Shade, Cut Glass Base with Glass Fruit Accent
Delivered free · US duties paid · Insured
This is a particular genre of 1970s French decorative lighting: a formal gold-toned frame given over to a moment of whimsy, where glass fruit or floral motifs soften an otherwise architectural piece. It's paired here with the tole shade tradition — a metal shade lacquered in deep, saturated color and finished in gold trim — giving the whole lamp a theatrical, slightly playful French sensibility rather than a strictly formal one.

The base is a block of cut, faceted glass, its texture catching light at every angle, rising into a slender gold-toned stem. Partway up, a small gold-toned dish holds a cluster of decorative glass fruit — grape and apple forms rendered in clear glass — before the stem continues to a rectangular red tole shade trimmed in gold. The whole piece sits on a sturdy square gold-toned base for stability.
The lamp presents in very good vintage condition, with the gold-toned frame, cut glass base, and red tole shade all holding their color and finish well. The glass fruit cluster is intact and unchipped.
The lamp will be inspected and tested before dispatch, with rewiring where needed. It will be packed individually for shipping, fully insured. The wall plug is fitted to match your country's standard, free of charge. Returns are accepted within 30 days.
